EIDENTECH / BUILT AROUND YOUR BUSINESS

Data Engineering & Pipeline Development

Bring records from separate sources into validated, traceable datasets that applications and reporting teams can use consistently.

Reliable reporting and AI workflows depend on knowing where the data came from and what it means. EidenTech can scope pipelines that ingest, validate and transform business records from supported files, databases or APIs. We define source ownership, field meaning and refresh expectations, with a recovery process for rejected or interrupted batches rather than treating data movement as a one-time copy.

OUR DELIVERY PROCESS

How we approach your project

Define source contracts and the intended dataset

We map each source, the records it owns and the destination that will use them. Field names, identifiers, currency, time zones and status meanings may differ between systems even when the records look similar. The contract defines required fields, optional values and how updates or removals are represented. A retailer export and an order API may need different ingestion schedules and validation. Discovery clarifies whether the goal is a reporting dataset, an operational integration or model-training input, since freshness and recovery requirements follow from that intended use.

Validate input before transforming it

The pipeline checks agreed structure and business constraints before a record becomes part of the destination dataset. Examples include missing identifiers, invalid date values, unexpected categories and references to unknown entities. Rejected records retain a useful reason and an owner for correction. Transformations should preserve enough source context to explain a resulting value and remain repeatable across batches. The design distinguishes missing information from a valid zero or empty state. Access to raw and transformed data is scoped separately where needed, with private values excluded from general operational summaries that do not require them.

Make refresh and replay behaviour predictable

A pipeline needs a clear way to identify new work, update changed records and avoid duplicating a repeated batch. We agree refresh schedules, checkpoints and how the destination handles records received out of order. Interrupted jobs should be recoverable from an appropriate point, while a corrected historical file may need a controlled replay. Long-running or consequential work can require durable job state rather than a browser request. The operating interface shows successful, pending and rejected records so the team can inspect the outcome instead of assuming a finished job means every row was accepted.

Maintain traceability as source systems evolve

Testing covers representative datasets, malformed rows, duplicates and provider failures. We compare totals or record counts where those checks help detect missing data, while respecting the transformation rules that can legitimately change them. The handover documents data contracts, schedules, credential ownership and what to do when a provider changes a field. EidenTech’s local GST preparation application includes PostgreSQL persistence and a durable reconciliation worker. That is relevant implementation context, with its local status stated clearly. A new pipeline is still scoped against your actual sources, destination and production operating requirements.

SHAPED AROUND YOUR SCOPE

What we can deliver

We agree the requirements and responsibilities before development begins. Your project scope can include:

  • A source-to-destination map with field definitions, ownership and freshness requirements.
  • Ingestion, validation and repeatable transformations for supported records.
  • Scheduled or event-driven execution with duplicate handling, checkpoints and recovery.
  • Data-quality visibility, representative validation and source-contract documentation.
PRACTICAL ENGINEERING

Technology choices for your requirements

The stack follows your integrations, operating model, and maintenance needs. These are options to review during discovery, rather than a fixed stack promised for every project.

  • Supported file, database and API ingestion
  • SQL or Python transformations with validated data contracts
  • PostgreSQL or a destination selected for the workload
  • Durable workers, checkpoints and data-quality monitoring where required
BEFORE WE BEGIN

Planning questions, answered

Can you combine spreadsheets, databases and API records?

Yes. We review supported access and agree which source owns each field. The pipeline can normalise formats and validate records before combining them. Matching rules and update behaviour need explicit definitions so similar-looking records are not merged incorrectly.

Will we be able to see rows that failed processing?

Yes, where included in the operating scope. Rejected records can show validation reasons and useful source identifiers. We agree who corrects them and how the corrected batch is reprocessed without duplicating records already accepted by the destination.

Can the data update automatically on a schedule?

Yes. Refresh can be scheduled or event-driven according to source capabilities and business freshness needs. The design includes checkpoints and monitoring appropriate to the workflow, with a visible response to expired access or unavailable providers.

Can the pipeline support a future AI or reporting project?

Yes. We can define datasets with consistent meanings, traceability and access suited to the intended users. Model input and operational reports may require different views. Future requirements are considered without implying that moving data alone makes it suitable for every analysis.
